Join us in welcoming another fresh face to the farm this season – Chef Joe Spiegal of Rye Leawood! Joe Spiegal became the Executive Chef at Rye in Leawood, KS in November of 2021. His passion for cooking started back when he was a child and would cook with his mother and his grandmother. His interest started there but would later be put into motion when he enrolled into Culinary School and was hooked on the first day. A native of Omaha, NE, he would attend Metropolitan Community College and receive a degree in Culinary Arts and Management. In 2009, Joe moved to Kansas City and has had the opportunity to work with some of KC’s best Chefs. Some of which included Michael Smith, Colby Garrelts, John Brogan, Andrew Longres, and many more. Joe is extremely proud to be running the kitchen at Rye in Leawood. Stop by say hello and grab some of Chef Megan and Chef Keara Masson’s award winning pies.
